The Holidays are upon us! We’ve just had the Winter Solstice bringing with it the great relief that from here on, the days are going to get longer. And there’s going to be more and more light!! Hallelujah!! It has been dark for a long, long time!
The Holidays can be joyful, but they can also bring up old anxieties. You know that feeling—-Family Time—-great anticipation followed by a regression to your 5-year old self. We’ve all been there. So what do we do. Well, I’d say this is the perfect time for Compassionate Self-Care…starting today.
What’s the difference between Compassionate Self-Care and regular Self-Care? Good question. The answer is really in the intention. If I just want to lose a quick 5 pounds so I can fit into my favourite pants or I want to show off my six-pack at the gym…then regular self-care is what I’m doing. It’s a quick fix and it’s focussed on one part of me. Compassionate Self-Care is playing the long game—-it’s a determination to bring balance and well-being to my whole system. It’s a life-long commitment. And the pay-off is huge! Compassionate Self-Care doesn’t come with the critic—you know the one—that voice that says you’re not enough. Compassionate Self-Care allows you to rest into the wholeness that’s already there. We just need to wake up to it.
I am offering a new six-week course starting on January 7 in the New Year on just that—-Compassionate Self-Care. There will be lots of engagement …lots of interactivity. Because it’s a pilot program, I’m offering it at a special price—-$197 if you sign up before Christmas. We’ll be applying those 4 pillars of successful relationships from my last course to your inner self. I really hope you’ll considering going on this journey with me.
Did someone say journey? There’s something else I want to share with you. I have a new book about to be launched. It’s called Freedom Mountain A Journey to your True Self in Three Parts. It contains a huge amount of information on the three slopes of Freedom Mountain—Self, Relationship and Life Purpose. Each chapter gives you questions so you can really go deeply into your own experience. I also share my personal story on facing these challenges in my own life. And if that’s not enough, there are also Wisdom Stories that will carry you further into the mystery of this journey of a lifetime. The book will be available on my website very soon, so keep an eye out for it.
Have a wonderful Holiday time and I’m sending you a heart-felt wish that you will be good to your precious self.
